Realise Your Hidden Talents

I hope that, like me, you are reading this on your sun-bed by your pool or at the great big swimming pool that surrounds this beautiful island. Take some time off from the normal ‘I must do this and that by a certain time’ routine and enjoy the reasons that you came to Cyprus. Sun, sea, weather and the time to enjoy yourself by relaxing a bit more so the article is being kept simple this month – no heavy reading while you relax.

A new craft which we worked on during the last ten weeks was Paper Quilting – according to the students it was a great success – Stars and Stripes, Yankee Pride, New Frontier, Indian Trails, Circle upon Circle, Gordian Knot and Diamonds Knot are just a few of the American Quilt pattern names that reflect their regional folklore, everyday life and geographical location of the Quiltmaker. Today, just the sound of the names awakens the creative spirit and inspires wonderful images in the mind’s eye.
