Quite a day for celebrities

It was quite a day for celebrities when SunCatchers opened their shop on Faros Avenue, Pervolia, Larnaca, in mid-May. First of all Richard Douglass and John McNeil , the owners of the shop, had invited Sid Owen (Ricky Butcher) of Eastenders fame, as their special guest for the day, helping them to promote their revolutionary rotating sun-loungers, plus a wide range of garden furniture and pools etc.

The food and wine was flowing nicely by this time, all catered for by the Metropolitan Restaurant, Dhekelia Road, Larnaca, and very nice it all was too, when along came England’s answer to the “Blues Brothers!” In the shape of Paul Morrison, from Gateshead, who is an all-round entertainer, comedian, dancer and singer, and Paul Palance, from Newcastle, a former professional boxer, who turned professional at the age of 19 and trained with George Francis, who also trained John Conti and Frank Bruno.
