Golf Club in Ayios Nikolas

The Ayios Nikolaos Golf Club (ANGC) is located on the British ForcesBase of Ayios Nikolaos (surprisingly!) about 20km from Larnaca, near the border with Ammochostos.

It was founded about 30 years ago by Tom Thirkill, who decided that, after the 1974 invasion, people needed something to occupy their minds. The club is still going strong today. We have approximately 100 members, made up of civilian, military and ex-pat members. Under MOD regulations we can only have 15% of ex-pats and, consequently, we find we have a waiting list for ex-pat membership.
