Gardening This Month

May is one of my favourite months of the year in the garden. The air filled with citrus blossom heralding the lovely fruit that appears towards the end of the year.

Roses should be in full bloom now giving off sweet perfumes from their wonderful flowers. All this depends where you live of course – rain can occur in one village whilst the next one has none. Such is the way of life in Cyprus. This has been a particularly bad winter in terms of not having enough rain and very low temperatures during the winter in some parts. Gardening is difficult enough without all these extra problems.
