Beavers in Cyprus

The 48th Dhekelia Scout District Beaver Colony, who meet at the Victor Beach Club on the Sovereign Base at Dhekelia on a Wednesday afternoon, are a very keen group of youngsters aged between six and eight years old. So much so that two of them have been successful in gaining the Chief Scout's Bronze Award Challenge Badge. They are Harvey Knight, aged eight, whose challenge was to improve his handwriting, and Joshua Betteridge, aged seven, who chose for his challenge to improve his hockey skills.

He was so successful, he has been chosen to play for the Cyprus Scouts joint Hockey Marathon! They were presented with their badges by the District Commissioner, Larnaca District, Ivor Demain. They will be able to wear their badges all through their Scouting days.
Three young Beavers were "Invested" last Wednesday, which means they are now members of the worldwide brotherhood of Scouts.
