All Hail The Mighty Gunners

Are you an Arsenal Football Club supporter living in the Larnaca district? Do you know there is an official Supporters Club in the area, and that Peter Christofi, a committee man for the club, would love to hear from you.

He is an ardent supporter, who went to his first match aged six years old, and remembers being frightened of the noise and the crowds, and crying because of the cold! But he soon overcame his fears and learned to enjoy the game. He moved to Cyprus three years ago with his family and has faithfully followed his team’s progress ever since.
Peter says any new members would be made very welcome and points out that being in the club has it’s advantages - 20 per cent off all merchandise from the club shop in the UK, plus discounts in some shops here in Cyprus. Membership fees are £10 and include a club tee-shirt, membership card and access to anything relating to Arsenal.
Trips are organised to England to watch the team play, this usually includes tickets for two matches at the Emirates Stadium (seating capacity 62,000, with a 45,000 waiting list!), and either a five or seven day stay in a hotel at reasonable prices.
Other benefits include the commaraderie of the other supporters, there is a large contingent in Cyprus and visits are made to other clubs across the island. The Larnaca Branch often meet at the Kick-Off pub, situated behind St Lazarus Church in the town.
